He’s arrived. Tanner Adams Porter (a.k.a TAP) was born June 26th 2009 @ 3:27 PM in Jacksonville FL. He was 7 lbs 1.4 ounces and 20.5 inches long. He’s gorgeous. He’s calm, rarely cries, and is a genius. For example he’s able to tell us exactly when the sun comes up – since he can’t talk what he does is he stops fussing and goes to sleep. Genius.

Isn’t he gorgeous! Those first five photos were taken within 5 minutes of his birth.

Erin is doing well. She’s a champ. On Thursday morning she got up @ 5:45 AM and when to the gym and worked out for about 45 minutes. Then that night we went miniature golfing until about 10:30ish PM. Then the next morning at about 7AM she woke me up and told me she was having “false labor contractions”. The contractions were quickly increasing in intensity, but still she thought nothing of it. She had her weekly doctors appt. in a few hrs, so she called and moved it up. When we got to the doctors appt. they took one look at her and said “I can’t believe you came to your appt. You’re about to have this baby. Go immediately to the hospital. They will break your water and off you go.” To make a short story shorter we got the hospital @ 11:00 she got an epidural @ 12:30 and gave birth at 3:27. The actual pushing was only about 10 or 15 minutes.
